Tao Te Ching Chapter 78

78th Chapter
Nothing in the world is softer than water.
Although water is soft, it can penetrate the hard rock.
There is nothing like it.
If a man accepts to be in the inferior position and wait for opportunity,
Then he can achieve success and become a strong one.
The tender heart is above the rigid mind.
People of the world know this principle, but only a few can apply it and benefit from it.

Therefore, a sage says,
“Who can carry the burden of abasement for others, he can be the master (lord) of his dominion;
who can carry the burden of woe for others, he can be the master (lord) of the world.”
How different is the rule in the world and the Kingdom of God?

Implications from the Holy Books

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. ── Matthew 20:28

The Prophets and the Manifestations of God are examples of the King of His dominion. “Whoever can carry the burden of abasement for others, he can be the master (lord) of his dominion; who can carry the burden of woe for others, he can be the master (lord) of the world.” They truly are the Lord of the Kingdom of God.
