Our Refuge

sing1

(Psalm 30)
I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever.

A dear friend shared this with me. After reading it, it made me want to sing God’s praise.

I will praise you, O Lord, for raising me up from death and giving me a new life.

O Lord, I render Thee thanks for giving me knowledge, opening my ears and eyes, showing me the straight path You have laid down in front of me.

I turn my face toward Thee and rejoice with Thy grace, I praise Thy Glory, O Holy Mariner.

O my LORD! Thy forgiveness hath emboldened me, and Thy mercy hath strengthened me, and Thy call hath awakened me, and Thy grace hath raised me up and led me unto Thee. (Bahá’u’lláh)

For the sovereignty you claim is fearsome, but your forgiveness and mercy is my savior; remembering Thy unlimited bounties is the light to bring me out of the darkness.

Remembering Thy Name is the remedy for my healing, Thy Greatest Name is my Refuge.

O LORD, your love and your promise is my stronghold, it is where I seek to abide.

Tests and difficulty are Thy grace to draw me nigh unto Thee.

I call on thee O Exalted One, O Faithful One, O Glorious One! Thou the Sufficing, Thou the Healing, Thou the Abiding, O Thou Abiding One! (Bahá’u’lláh)

O LORD, be merciful to me; be my King of Kings.

I praise to Thee for allowing me to stand at the gate of the city of Thy nearness, I dedicate myself to Thee.

I will sing your praise O LORD my God, and render you thanks forever.
